Halloween this year was pretty fantastic, I kicked it off friday with some friends, and my boyfriend who is dressed as a Jamacian bob-sledder (and even went so far as to make a bobsled with his roommates out of miller light boxes). I went with a simple classic, french maid and spruced it up with black lace tights from Jcrew, paired with Prada noir pumps, and some Mikimoto pearls, classy little sloot I am. Then we carried on all night at the local college haunt of a bar. Halloween night however was far more fabulous! Alex (my beau) and I treked to the city, he repeated costumes but this time I was in a full out 'Spektra' from the movie Watchmen, favorite part the over the heel boots Hammerstein ballroom for the 101.9fm Weezer/Matt and Kim concert which was one of the most electric concerts I have ever been to. Mind you the Hammerstein Ballroom is HUGE and was brimming over with ghosts and gouls, dancing hippos, wild things, you name it. It was quite an experience, Matt and Kim came on stage dressed in a favorite duo of mine Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgewick, and Weezer crawled into the spotlight in full out giant bug costumes as they jammed to their song Hashpipe, not to mention there were guest cameos by Leighton Meester and one of the Naked Brothers Band boys. Certianlly a Halloween for the books! I didn't get many good pictures of the show so I'll dig some up online later. Exoh!
